Terminals & Connections
ZRH has 3 main terminals: Terminal 1 (non-Schengen long-haul, Star Alliance/Swiss intercontinental), Terminal 2 (Schengen, short/medium-haul), and Terminal 3 (Dock E, accessible via airside connection only). Landside, T1 and T2 are connected by a continuous walkway on the departures level (Level 3), no shuttle needed, ~3–5 min walk. Dock E (T3 airside) is reached via an underground SkyMetro automated train (~2 min) from the main pier.
Car Rental Desks
All rental desks are located in the Parking Garage P1/P2 building, directly connected to Terminal 1 arrivals (Level 1) via a covered walkway ~100m. Counters are on Level 1 of the Car Rental Center within P1, no outdoor walk required. Standard opening hours: 07:00–23:00 daily, though Hertz and Avis extend to 24h on request.
Return Fuel Stations
1) AVIA Station – Marktgasse 1, Kloten, ~1.0 km from terminal, open 24h. 2) BP Station – Schaffhauserstrasse 130, Opfikon, ~2.2 km northeast of terminal, open 24h. 3) Migrol Station – Nägelimühlestrasse 20, Rümlang, ~3.5 km northwest, open 05:00–23:00 (not 24h).
