Faro Airport (FAO) has a single terminal building with two piers: Pier A (Schengen/domestic, gates A1–A22) and Pier B (non-Schengen/international, gates B1–B16). No inter-terminal shuttle needed; both piers are connected internally on the same landside/airside level. TAP Air Portugal, Ryanair, and easyJet all operate from this single terminal, with Schengen/non-Schengen split determining the pier.
Car Rental Desks
All car rental desks are located on the arrivals level (ground floor, Level 0) of the single terminal, in the arrivals hall immediately after baggage claim. The vehicle pickup lot is directly in front of the terminal building, approximately 50–100 meters from the exit doors, in the dedicated rental car area of the main car park. Standard counter hours are 07:00–23:00 daily, though some operators extend to 24h during peak summer season (June–September).
Return Fuel Stations
BP station on EN125 (Rua de Faro), approximately 1.2 km northwest of the terminal near the airport roundabout, open 24h. Galp station on Estrada de Montenegro (EN125), approximately 2 km west of the terminal toward Faro city center, open 06:00–22:00. Repsol station on N125 near the Gambelas junction, approximately 2.5 km north of the terminal, open 07:00–22:00.
