Terminals & Connections
MXP (Milano Malpensa) has two terminals: T1 (Schengen and intercontinental, served by most carriers including Alitalia/ITA Airways, easyJet, Emirates, American Airlines) and T2 (exclusively Ryanair and Wizz Air). Inter-terminal connection is via free shuttle bus running every 7 minutes, journey approximately 10 minutes; no tram or rail link between T1 and T2. T1 has a direct rail link to Milano Centrale via Malpensa Express (30 min).
Car Rental Desks
All car rental desks at T1 are located on Level 0 (Arrivals hall, ground floor), in the dedicated Car Rental area at the far end of the Arrivals corridor. At T2, desks are also on the ground floor of the arrivals area but vehicles are collected from the open-air car park P1 adjacent to T2. Car rental counters typically open 06:00–23:00 daily; after-hours returns use key drop boxes.
Return Fuel Stations
Eni station on SS336 (Strada Statale 336 del Lago Maggiore), approximately 1.5 km from T1 toward Gallarate, open 24h with self-service. Q8 station in Somma Lombardo on Via Tessin/SP34, approximately 3 km northeast of T1, open 24h self-service. Esso/API station in Cardano al Campo on Via per Busto Arsizio, approximately 4 km southeast of T1, staffed hours 07:00–20:00 with 24h self-service pumps.
