Terminals & Connections
MAD has 4 terminals: T1, T2, T3 (grouped in the T1-T2-T3 satellite complex, walkable within ~10 min via covered corridors) and T4 plus T4S (satellite). T1-T2-T3 to T4 requires the free inter-terminal bus (TIB), running every 10–15 min, journey ~10 min. Iberia and Vueling dominate T4/T4S; most non-Schengen/long-haul international carriers use T1; T2 handles some low-cost and charter; T3 is primarily domestic Iberia Express.
Car Rental Desks
All major rental companies are located in the Edificio de Aparcamientos (parking/rental building) at T4, level 0 (ground floor), directly accessible from T4 arrivals without a shuttle. For T1-T2-T3 arrivals, take the TIB bus to T4 or use the free rental shuttle to the T1 parking complex P2, level 0, where counters for Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt, Enterprise, and Budget also operate. Counters are generally open 07:00–23:00 daily; some 24h desks available at T4.
Return Fuel Stations
Repsol on Avenida de la Hispanidad (M-12/R-2 junction area), ~1.8 km from T4, open 24h. Cepsa at Calle Hermanos García Noblejas / Carretera de Barcelona N-II, ~4.5 km from T4, open 24h. BP at Avenida de Logroño near the R-2 on-ramp, ~3 km from T1-T2-T3, open 24h.
