AYT has 2 main terminals: Terminal 1 (domestic flights, Turkish airlines regional ops) and Terminal 2 (international flights, the primary hub handling charter and scheduled international carriers including TUI, Corendon, SunExpress, Pegasus, THY international). The two terminals are connected by a free shuttle bus running approximately every 10–15 minutes, journey time around 5 minutes. Both terminals are within the same airport complex roughly 800 meters apart.

Car rental counters are located on the ground floor (arrivals level, Level 0) of both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, in dedicated rental zones immediately after baggage claim. Major operators (Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt, Budget, Europcar, local firms such as Alamo/National via partners) have counters in-terminal; vehicle collection is from the surface car park directly in front of each terminal, approximately 50–100 meters from the exit doors. Counters typically operate 07:00–24:00; some high-season desks run 24 hours (June–September).
