Terminals & Connections
Helsinki-Vantaa Airport has 2 terminals: Terminal 1 (T1, Schengen/domestic) and Terminal 2 (T2, non-Schengen international, including Finnair intercontinental). T1 and T2 are connected airside by a covered walkway requiring no security re-screening; the walk takes approximately 5–8 minutes. Finnair operates primarily from T2; most Schengen EU carriers (Norwegian, SAS, easyJet) use T1.
Car Rental Desks
All rental counters are located in the Arrivals hall of Terminal 2, ground level (Level 0), within the main terminal building - no separate rental building. Rental car pick-up and vehicle collection is in Parking Garage P3, directly connected to T2 via a covered walkway (approx. 200 m). Standard opening hours are 06:00–23:00 daily, though Hertz and Avis may extend to 24h on request.
Return Fuel Stations
1) ABC Asemantie (ABC Helsinki-Vantaa), Lentäjäntie 1, Vantaa - approx. 1.2 km from T2 entrance, open 24h. 2) Neste Express Tikkurilantie, Tikkurilantie 150, Vantaa - approx. 2.5 km southeast of the airport, open 24h. 3) Shell Veromies, Veromiehentie 26, Vantaa - approx. 3.0 km south of the airport, open 24h.
