Terminals & Connections
LHR has 4 operational terminals: T2 (Star Alliance, United, Air Canada), T3 (Oneworld incl. American, Cathay, Emirates), T4 (Malaysia Airlines, some charter), T5 (British Airways and Iberia exclusively). Inter-terminal transfer uses the free Heathrow Express tunnel rail (T2/T3 to T4: ~15 min; T2/T3 to T5: ~10 min) and the free inter-terminal bus (longer, 20–30 min). T1 is permanently closed.
Car Rental Desks
All major rental brands operate from the Heathrow Car Rental Centre (CRC), a single consolidated building accessible via a dedicated free shuttle bus from each terminal's arrivals forecourt (shuttle every 10 min, journey ~5–10 min). The CRC is located on Newall Road, Hounslow TW6 2AP, approximately 1 km south of T2/T3. Typical opening hours are 06:00–23:00 daily, though some desks open 05:30 for early flights.
Return Fuel Stations
BP Filling Station on Bath Road (A3044), Harlington, ~1.8 km east of the CRC - open 24h. Esso on Great South-West Road (A30), Feltham, ~3.5 km north-west of T5 - open 24h. Texaco on Sipson Road, West Drayton, ~1.5 km north of T3 - open 06:00–22:00.
