FCO has 4 terminals: T1 (Schengen/EU charter), T2 (intercontinental/Alitalia successor ITA Airways, linked directly to T3 by internal walkway ~3 min walk), T3 (main international, SkyTeam/Star Alliance majors, Ryanair uses T1), T5 (extra-Schengen only, reachable by dedicated free shuttle bus from T3, ~10 min). T1-T2-T3 are physically connected landside and airside; T5 is isolated. No tram - inter-terminal movement T1/T2/T3 is on foot via covered corridors.

All major car rental desks are located in T3 Arrivals, ground floor (Level 0), in the dedicated 'Car Rental' hall at the far end of the arrivals concourse - same building, no external shuttle needed for T3. Customers arriving at T1 or T2 walk through the internal corridor to T3 ground floor (5–8 min). T5 arrivals must take the shuttle to T3. Typical counter hours: 07:00–23:00 daily (some brands extend to 00:00 for late flights); 24h service not guaranteed - verify with individual brands.
