Terminals & Connections
MUC has 2 main terminals: Terminal 1 (T1, non-Lufthansa, divided into modules A/B/C/D/E) and Terminal 2 (T2, Lufthansa hub and Star Alliance partners). A satellite building (T2 Satellite) is connected to T2 via an underground automated people mover (APM) taking approximately 3 minutes. T1 and T2 are connected by a free inter-terminal bus (MacBus) departing every 10 minutes, journey ~10 minutes; alternatively a 15-minute walk through the landside mall (MUC ZentrumC/MACCenter).
Car Rental Desks
All major rental companies are located in the Car Rental Center on Level 03 (3rd floor) of the Central Area P1/P2 parking structure, situated between T1 and T2, approximately 300 meters from T1 arrivals and 400 meters from T2 arrivals via covered walkways. Standard counter hours are 06:00–23:00 daily for most operators; Sixt and Hertz offer extended or 24-hour availability. Access on foot via the MACCenter covered corridor linking both terminals.
Return Fuel Stations
1) Aral station on Erdinger Allee / Zufahrt MUC, approx. 1.2 km north of T1, open 24h. 2) BP station at Freisinger Landstraße 43, Hallbergmoos, approx. 3.5 km west of the airport, open 24h. 3) Agip/ENI station on B301 (Flughafentangente), Schwaig bei München, approx. 4 km southeast, open 24h.
